Transcripts available through school board?
I would prefer answers from other Canadians as different countries have different protocol.
Can the provincial school board release high school transcripts to a former student? I have to get a hold of mine but my old high school is closed until September (of course lol). I realize different provinces have different protocol in place in a situation like this. I would give a more specific idea of where I'm from but I appreciate my online privacy and don't want to get specific. If anyone has any idea, though, it would be a good start for me.
I've looked on google but I just get a lot of convoluted and unrelated information.
Okay. I live in the U.S., and here is an idea. If it were me, I would go in person to the school and talk with a secretary in the records/administration office. She may have access to the transcripts (paper or on computer) and can be very helpful. If that for some reason did not work, then I would drive over to the provincial school board and talk to a secretary there to find out if they can honor your request.
It is worth a try. That's what I think. Best wishes.

The Re-Releases of the Un-Releases $11.02 In early 2000, the music collective known as Chicks on Speed emerged from a very art-damaged electronic scene in Munich, Germany. Without a second's warning, Chicks on Speed took both the art and music worlds by storm, designing fashion shows, performing, and recording two records in under two years. And in that short time after their art-school formation, they were taken under the wings of Austrian electro-glitch producers Gerhard Potuznik and Ramon Bauer, only to become instant stars on the intelligent club circuit. Their first domestic record, The Re-releases of the Un-releases, is a brilliant collection of their early work as remixed by Bauer and Potuznik. The Re-releases is raw and unpolished but somehow charming and a bit more personal than their import-only full-length Will Save Us All. As well, The Re-releases preserves the studio chatter between the Chicks and their producers and includes strikingly innovative covers of the B-52's "Gimme Back My Man," the Normals' "Warm Leatherette" (with DJ Hell), and the Delta 5's "Mind Your Own Business." Although Chicks on Speed was originally conceived as an art installation project, they've obviously found a niche within synthetic pop music and they exhibit an impressive amount of songwriting skill and social commentary. Their humor is definitely tongue-in-cheek but is nevertheless relentless when it comes to teasing out the shortcomings of the international club scene. As well, they maintain a strong feminist perspective as they stride headlong into that territory via the tracks "Eurotrash Girl," "Glamour Girl," and "Song for a Future Generation." But while they may have found a great way of disguising their social jabs as humor, Chicks on Speed ultimately just want to have fun. His Final Releases 1919-1922 $13.58 Archeophone presents a third volume of the complete recordings of Afro-American vaudeville legend Bert Williams, immaculately remastered and arranged in chronological order. The time line represented here extends from February 13, 1919, to February 24, 1922, eight days before his death in Detroit, which occurred one week short of his 47th birthday. Born in the West Indies and raised near Los Angeles, CA, Egbert Williams developed a two-man vaudeville act with Kansas-born comic George Walker beginning in 1893. Starting up in San Francisco and making their way east through Chicago, the duo of Williams and Walker soon enjoyed popular success in New York and London, and were among the first Afro-Americans to make phonograph recordings. After Walker's premature death from syphilis in 1911, Williams established himself as a solo act and soon became a mainstay in the Ziegfeld Follies. By the time the recordings on this compilation were made, Bert Williams was one of the wealthiest entertainers in all of show business. Note that two very popular musicians accessed Bert Williams' material years after he had passed; Phil Harris bolstered his own popularity with songs like "The Darktown Poker Club" and Louis Armstrong re-created both of Williams' "Elder Eatmore" sermons for Decca Records on August 11, 1938. The written and photographic documentation provided by Archeophone is enormously informative; insightful essays, vintage posters, publicity stills, and detailed discography and bibliography listings make this the definitive and indispensable Bert Williams edition. The Complete Victor Releases $13.58 Marion Harris was one of the top singers on records during 1916-1920; in fact, she was one of the few vocalists documented during that period who was actually listenable! Even before jazz was recorded, she had a jazz feel to her singing, as can be heard on the 1916 version of "I Ain't Got Nobody" that opens this superior collection. Included on this CD are all of Harris' recordings for the Victor label: 19 numbers from 1916-1919 (including five from 1916) and a pair of later titles from 1927. Harris' relatively laid-back delivery (a major contrast to the other singers of the period) at times almost sounds like Ruth Etting and Annette Hanshaw from a decade later.
